Our client supplies facilities to Europe’s largest civil engineering project, HS2. We were contacted with a requirement to source and supply body-worn cameras for over 470 security officers to operate on 100 major construction sites, ultimately to record security incidents as a part of their total security provision service.

During the project’s growth, the rise in crime across the contract platform meant that the requirement to combat theft and protesting also grew. Our client has found that implementing the BWCs across the construction sites on HS2 has helped deter and prevent aggression, providing a safer, improved working environment for their end users.
Given the high profile and sensitive nature of HS2, the ability to provide detailed data of daily security-related incidents is vital to assist in combatting theft, protesting and general criminal activity.
